Alex Russell is the Senior Writer at the UC Davis Center for Poverty Research, where he drafts, edits and disseminates policy briefs and other research-based content to state and federal legislators, agencies, policy professionals and individuals in direct service. He manages the center’s media communications and social media, and directs the Public Policy Internship, which provides training and professional development for UC Davis undergraduates in project management, web marketing and policy. He is also a participant in the UC Davis Public Policy Consortium. Russell has written news and feature stories for print and the Web since 2000. Before joining the Center for Poverty Research he served as a Lecturer at UC Davis, where he completed his M.A. in English.
