In recent years, UC Davis, with the support of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, has taken on a crucial role in the fight against domestic poverty.
Since its inception in 2011, UCD’s Center for Poverty Research has sought to shed light on the struggle of the impoverished in the United States. The center facilitates nonpartisan academic research on poverty, disseminates findings to the public and policymakers and provides training for future scholars.
