Sudarshan is a Sophomore at Howard University pursuing a double
major in Economics and Mathematics. He was born and grew up in
Nepal. Sudarshan is active on campus and serves as the treasurer
of the Abram Harris Economics Society, an organization of
undergraduate economics students at Howard. He also tutors
students in economics and statistics. Sudarshan was awarded the
Capstone scholarship (covers tuition and housing) on his
acceptance to Howard. At the end of his Freshmen year, he was
placed on the Dean’s list for excellent academic records and was
named a Locke Scholar.
Natalia Cooper will graduate summa cum
laude, Phi Beta Kappa from Howard University in
May 2019 where she studied Economics and Political
Science. She represented Howard University at Harvard’s 2017
National Campaign Conference, served as Secretary of the HUSA
Policy Board during the 2017-2018 school year, and traveled to
China as a member of the Sixth Class of Howard’s Freshman
Leadership Academy. While a student, she interned with two U.S.
Sera Orr is a junior sociology major with a concentration in
criminal justice from Long Island, New York. As an active student
on campus, Sera participates in many organizations such as
National Negro of Congress Women, LadyBuds (a tutoring program
for young girls), as well as the Transfer Student Association
where she holds the position as the Secretary. During her free
time, Sera also likes to volunteer at a variety of food banks in
Atlanta. Growing up it has been instilled in Sera to always give
back to those who are less fortunate.
Tiago Rachelson, from Miami, Florida, is a rising junior at
Morehouse College, where he pursues a Bachelor’s of Arts degree
in Sociology. Tiago loves learning about social justice causes—
especially those related to race, class, sex, gender, and
sexuality. Tiago is a Stamps Scholar and is on the Dean’s List at
Morehouse, winning the Top Freshmen Scholar Award in his first
year. During his time on campus, he has been Dorm President, a
Student Ambassador, a Presidential Ambassador, and a board member
of the Morehouse Business Association.
