London Arnold is a junior at Spelman College majoring in
International Studies with a concentration in International
Development. Her interest in poverty research was sparked when
she interned for the non-profit organization, Operation HOPE.
Since her internship, she has continued to pursue research and
bring awareness to issues of poverty, specifically in
African-American communities. After she graduates from
Spelman, London plans to pursue a Master’s degree in public
policy or international affairs. Her interests include studying
the intersectionality of race and class, socio-economic
inequalities, human rights, and public policy reform in
underserved communities.
