Project Title: Local Economic Conditions,
Parental Job Displacement, and Children’s Health
Project Description: This project will provide
the observed correlation between family income and children’s
health has been often cited as a key mechanism in the
intergenerational transmission of socioeconomic status. The
proposed project investigates this link in two ways – first, by
estimating the effects of parental job displacement on children’s
health, and second, by studying the effects of aggregate economic
conditions on kids’ health outcomes.
