Hannah Laqueur
Assistant Professor, Department of Emergency Medicine

Hannah Laqueur is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Emergency Medicine and core faculty in the Violence Prevention Research Program (VPRP) and UC Center for Firearm Violence Research (UCFC).  She holds a Ph.D. from Berkeley Law’s doctoral program in Jurisprudence & Social Policy, a Master’s degree in Biostatistics from UC Berkeley, and a Master’s in Public Policy & Administration from Columbia University. Her research includes work on gun violence, drug policy, and risk assessment and decision making in the criminal justice system. Current projects include an NIJ-funded study to analyze millions of handgun transactions in California to determine whether there are distinct and predictive purchasing patterns associated with firearm violence risk, and a National Collaborative on Gun Violence Research study to examine California crime gun markets.
