UC Davis Summer Poverty Research Engagement Experience (UCD-SPREE)
The Center for Poverty Research (CPR) at UC Davis in
collaboration with Howard University, Morehouse College and
Spelman College, hosts the UCD-SPREE program which introduces
undergraduates from these Universities to poverty research in the
social sciences and develop skills for graduate school.
UCD-SPREE participants travel to UC Davis during their first
summer in the program, where they are paired with faculty and
graduate student mentors and introduced to research at the CPR.
Students participate in CPR activities and coordinating graduate
school preparation components sponsored by the Office of Graduate
Studies.
