From the Alameda County Community Food Bank:
Alameda County Community Food Bank is soliciting proposals from researchers across the country to strengthen our understanding of food insecurity and unmet food need. We are excited to engage a group with expertise in this area for a longer term partnership, and are pleased to invite you, or researchers from your institution to submit proposals.
We believe there is an opportunity to improve assessment of underlying food need in our service area, to identify where we are under-resourced, and consider how we can prioritize our services and resources to maximize impact.
Please find attached the Request for Proposals, which articulates what we are seeking and what should be included in a proposal. We have also attached a summary version of Alameda County Community Food Bank’s 2018-2022 Strategic Plan, which will commence this July. Included within the RFP in APPENDIX B, you will find a list of the institutions we have invited – based on our knowledge of the expertise or upon the recommendation of a partner. You are welcome to forward the invitation to other researchers or institutions, or to collaborate across institutions.
Please notify us of your intent to submit an RFP, via email by May 31. With subject line “Intent to Submit RFP”, please also include the following contact information for all tentative collaborating research partners. Please also specify a main Point of Contact.
