In this February 2014 seminar, Visiting Scholar Herman van de Werfhorst discussed his new work on the inequality that can arise from early selection systems in schools.

Van de Werfhorst is a Professor of Sociology at the University of Amsterdam, where he also serves as director of the Amsterdam Centre for Inequality Studies. He studies the sociology of education, social stratification and mobility, and labor market sociology.
