The Nation, the oldest weekly news magazine in the country, is celebrating its 150th anniversary this year. Known for investigative reporting, hard-hitting cultural commentary, and an emphasis on social justice, The Nation is hosting events across the U.S. to catalyze important conversations about our country’s most pressing issues in the communities at the forefront of solving these problems.

As part of this series, the Sacramento Public Library will host a discussion about food security with Nation contributors Sasha AbramskyMark Hertsgaard, Chanowk Yisrael of Yisrael Family Farm, and Amber Stott of the Food Literacy Center. Lesley McClurg of Capitol Public Radio will moderate.
