Jason is an assistant professor in the economics department at the University of Pittsburgh. He studies topics at the intersection of public and labor economics with a special emphasis on assessing the causes and consequences of inequity. His past work studies charter schools, school teacher experience, and school segregation. Current work focuses on assessing inequities in geographic access to food assistance programs as well as the labor supply effects of food assistance program rules.
