With support from the Doris Duke Charitable Foundation, Urban and the Berkeley Opportunity Lab are partnering to develop a research Consortium focused on issues of family economic security and mobility, with an initial focus on expansions of the safety net in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. One goal of the project is to support the professional development of researchers from backgrounds that have been historically marginalized or underrepresented in research disciplines.
Toward that end, the project is issuing an RFP and will award three research grants of $30,000 each, with a proposal deadline of April 11, 2022. Winners will have the opportunity to work with a mentor from Urban or the Berkeley Opportunity Lab. See the full RFP here.
