Gaetano Basso is a PhD student in economics at University of California Davis. His research interests are in the field of labor and public economics. He has contributed several articles on the Italian labor market and the liberalization of professional services to Italian economic watchdog websites. Before starting his PhD, he worked at Fondazione Rodolfo Debenedetti (2009-11) where is currently affiliate. He earned a MSc in economics (cum laude) from Università Bocconi in 2009 and a BA (cum laude) from the same university in 2007.
