Office of Planning, Research and Evaluation (OPRE) in the Administration for Children and Families (ACF), U.S. Department of Health and Human Services

The Office of Planning, Research and Evaluation (OPRE) in the Administration for Children and Families (ACF), U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, is pleased to announce that the 18th Biennial Research and Evaluation Conference on Self-Sufficiency (RECS) will be held June 1-3, 2016 at the Omni Shoreham Hotel in Washington, DC.

For nearly 20 years, this conference has been a leading forum for researchers, State and local administrators, practitioners, and Federal officials and policymakers to discuss cutting-edge research on family self-sufficiency and social welfare programs and policies. The 2016 RECS will provide another opportunity to gather in D.C. and hear the latest findings from evaluations of social welfare programs and policies, discuss ways to incorporate findings into the design and implementation of programs, and develop strategies for future evaluations.

The Call for Proposals is now open! OPRE invites proposals for individual presentations and for entire conference sessions. To submit a proposal, please visit the Call for Proposals page of the conference website (www.recsconference.net) and fill in all required fields. All proposal submissions are due on August 14, 2015.
